SRMC Publishes New Community Health Newsletter SRMC HealthPoint Offers Helpful Health Tips, Information about Physicians, Services and More
Are you aware that some people who are experiencing a heart attack never experience any chest pain? Or that a cold sweat, nausea or lightheadedness can all be signs that you may be experiencing a heart attack? This information and more is provided to readers of Sumner Regional Medical Center's (SRMC) new community newsletter, HealthPoint.
In addition to sharing valuable information about heart attack symptoms and how to seek treatment, the newsletter also includes information about determining if you are at risk of having a heart attack, actions you can take to reduce the threat of heart disease, and information about screening technologies available to detect heart disease.
"The new HealthPoint newsletter is a community service of Sumner Regional Medical Center that seeks to provide meaningful health tips and information about SRMC physicians, services, news and upcoming events," said Mary Jo Lewis, CEO of SRMC and HighPoint Health System. "I hope our community will find the information provided in HealthPoint to be helpful to them as they make decisions about their health."
The new SRMC publication is being mailed to homes throughout Gallatin and can also be picked up in lobby areas of the hospital, at the Diagnostic Center, Imaging for Women and Rehabilitation Services at Sumner Station, as well as in many local physicians' offices.
HealthPoint can also be viewed online by visiting the hospital's Web site, www.MySumnerMedical.com. Visit the "News" tab located on the home page, and then click on "SRMC HealthPoint Newsletter."
